About
Hi, I'm Marion. Mom, virtual assistant, delivery driver, and the person behind The Marion Hustle.
I don't have a glossy founder story. What I have is ten-plus years of solving other people's problems, a browser full of open tabs, and a long habit of turning "I wonder if I could..." into "well, now I know."
The short version
I'm a lifelong learner with a curious, slightly analytical brain. When something catches my attention, I research it, dig in, and figure out what I can do with it. I've never needed anyone to hand me a roadmap. Give me a question and a search bar, and I'll find my own way.
The professional part
For over a decade I worked in customer support, technical troubleshooting, and data management, including time with companies like Apple and ModSquad. These days I also work as a virtual assistant, which is a tidy title for a not-so-tidy job: research, correspondence, scheduling, spreadsheets, project follow-ups, website projects, and the hundred small things that pile up when you're running a business or a family. Or both.
I've supported small-business owners, busy parents, and working professionals, so I've seen up close how many moving pieces one life can have. It's a big part of why I build the way I do.
A long history of trying things
My interests have never fit neatly into one industry. Over the years I've built websites on Wix, Squarespace, GoDaddy, and Shopify, created ebooks, researched business models, and taught myself SEO, digital marketing, and e-commerce. I've spent more time than I'd like to admit exploring AI tools and automation. I've also studied cosmetology and trichology, because hair and scalp science genuinely fascinates me, and that curiosity now has its own corner of my project list.
Not everything I've tried became a business, and I'm not going to pretend otherwise. The experimenting is the point: try something, learn the skill, notice what works, drop what doesn't, and put my energy where it counts.
Why The Marion Hustle exists
I want to build something of my own: an online business that gives me more financial independence, more flexibility, and more control over my time.
I'm not going to pretend I have it all figured out, or that there's an empire behind the curtain. There isn't. There's a mom with a laptop, a delivery route, and a plan that is very much in progress.
This site is where I document the process. The research, the experiments, the tools, the wins, the mistakes, and the occasional frustration of building something from the ground up. Real lessons from my own experiments, shared as they happen.
What you'll find here
Experiments in progress: Real projects, documented as they happen.
Honest lessons: What worked, what flopped, and what I'd do differently.
Practical tools: The apps, AI, and systems that actually save time.
No guru act: I'm learning out loud, and you're welcome to learn with me.
If you're a woman with ideas and ambition but without unlimited time, money, or resources, especially a mom or a working professional trying to carve out something of your own, you'll probably recognize yourself here.
Have a look at my projects to see what I'm building, or get in touch.
